God is still in control

God is still in control

In the past few days it seems like there has been nothing but bad news.  My son’s childhood friend has been diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor, twenty-six people, including twenty CHILDREN, were gunned down at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, Connecticut, and my family is dealing with two separate and difficult struggles which are too personal to reveal in a public forum, yet I know, beyond the shadow of a doubt, that God is still in control.  I know that He is with each of us.  I know that He will always be there, no matter who we are, no matter where we are, no matter what we face.

Psalm 139: 7-10

Where can I go from your Spirit?  Where can I flee from your presence?  If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.  If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your right hand will hold me fast.
